An Unforgettable Story

Gretchen was an amazing encourager to everyone lucky enough to know her. She always filled me with hope for the future. She passed 6 months ago, and she still encourages me.

Gretchen absolutely without hesitation loved Valentine's Day. It was her excuse every year to go out of her way to show our daughters how much they were loved.

23 years ago, January 6, 2001 became the most joyful and soul wrenching day of my life.

Christmas Eve 2023 carries an unbearable weight of longing as we celebrate Christ’s birth and all that it promises.

Today, 12/18/23, would have been our 24th anniversary.

Gretchen Marie Naugle is force of nature that permeates through the fabric of everything I - and my family - know, and I don’t know how to do this without her.

On our bedroom wall for the past 20 years has been a poem that I wrote for our 4th anniversary.
